Broiled Grapefruit

I've heard many things about grapefruits...and whilest I'm not really trying to diet or lose weight, or any of that, I do like to branch out and try new things. AND I know my mother-in-law likes grapefruits, so I do like to learn how to make things that family would love to eat! I really liked these.

Recipe from Williams-Sonoma

What you need:
  • 1 large grapefruit
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • Mint sprigs, if desired
Directions:
Cut the grapefruit in half. If you have issues with them standing up, you can slice a little off the bottom to make it flat. Loosen the segments of the grapefruit from the shell using a knife.

Mix together the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Sprinkle sugar mixture over the grapefruit halves.

In a preheated broiler, cook the grapefruit halves until bubbly, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
