Freezing herbs in butter or oil is a great idea! I just planted some garlic today, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it works out. Hopefully they'll be as easy as green onions - don't remember the last time I bought those. :)

I like that freezing herbs in butter idea, too. My husband grows garlic, and we have had a bumper crop the last couple years. Will have to give this a try.
