Baked Burritos

These were another quick, portable dinner that I made one night to take to my husband on staff duty. They were done in no time at all. I wrapped them in aluminum foil and stuck them in a lunchbox - and we were on our way. They are basically baked tacos and there is nothing wrong with the simplicity of a taco. The crunchiness from baking them was outstanding!
Baked Burritos - crunchy and simple! #burritos #dinner

(Print)
What you need:
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell, diced
  • 1 pkt taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cheese
  • Flour tortillas
Directions:

Brown ground beef with onions and green bell over medium-high heat.
Add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 5 minutes or until liquid is mostly absorbed.

Build your burritos - meat and cheese, roll up, and place seam side down on a baking sheet.
Brush or spray with oil.
Bake at 450* for 8 to 10 minutes.
