**Sunday Social #88**

Photobucket

I am so excited for Thanksgiving this year. I'm preparing a bacon-wrapped turkey via Finding Joy in My Kitchen. Plus per request Andes Creamy Mint Brownies. We are heading over to our friends' house to celebrate. I will say that one amazing part of being in the military is that your friends become your family away from home and it is so much fun to celebrate holidays like Thanksgiving with them. If you are travelling this week, stay safe! I don't have anything scheduled for Thursday or Friday of this week, but I'll be back on Saturday with an awesome recipe :)

Root Beer Pudding Cookies from Chef in Training
I love root beer, but didn't have much success with my first root beer cookie recipe. I totally trust Nikki's work though, so I cannot wait to try these!

I saw these three recipes that would be great for Thanksgiving, just in case you are still on the search for something:

The picture immediately grabbed my attention - it's such a gorgeous pie!

With Thanksgiving coming quickly, Christmas is not too far behind it. So here's some holiday-tastic treats I found this week:

Better than...Christmas Poke Cake from Something Swanky
Ohh I love all the different poke cakes that Ashton (and Nikki) have been posting lately. I really need to get my recipe up for one that I did after trying the original Better than... cake and not being fond of the Heath bits.

Skinny Peppermint Mocha from Peanut Butter & Peppers
I want to try this one at home - I always thought the SB one is too strong

Ho Ho Punch from Allrecipes.com
When I was a kid, every major holiday included punch. I want to start this with my kids.
