Back in the day, I participated in Crazy Cooking Challenge hosted by Tina of Crazy Cooking Mom. It was one of my favorite challenges and I decided to do my own version and invite my fellow food bloggers to join in. Each month, there will be a theme or ingredient to be featured. All you have to do is pick a recipe from a blog, cookbook, or create your own and then post on the designated day and add yourself to the blog hop. Thank you for joining the Fantastical Food Fight!

It is so simple to join in the fun! Please sign up for the mailing list below. This is how I will communicate with y'all. If you decide you do not want to join in on future Food Fights, the emails have a place to unsubscribe from the mailing list. If you decide to join after unsubscribing, simply come to this page and fill out the form below again. I am trying to make this as uncomplicated as possible!
So let me touch on what the Food Fight is in more detail... as I've said before, there will be a theme or ingredient featured each month (i.e. a theme like macaroni and cheese, chocolate cake, fried chicken, blueberry muffins or an actual ingredient). You will receive an email with the theme/ingredient a month out. The email will include the theme, the posting date, the blog hop code, and any other information you will need. You can choose your recipe from a blog, website, or cookbook or you can create your own. Please remember if you choose your recipe to cite your source (per good blog etiquette).
Make your recipe, photograph it, and compose your blog post - and then schedule it to go live on the posting date. There will not be a designated time to post on that date. You can post anywhere from 12:00am EST to 11:59pm EST. The blog hop will stay open during those times. Once your post is live, simply link it up to the blog hop and you are good to go! I decided to go this route because I want this to be fun and not stressful for me behind the scenes. We're all adults and don't need anyone to hold our hand. Plus if something comes up and you are unable to join in like you had wanted to, it hurts no one. No one is fumbling around to cover, so that makes it stress-free for all of us! :)
There will also be someone crowned the winner of the Food Fight each month. I haven't yet panned out what day that will be announced or how, but I will update you all as soon as I do.
The requirements for each Food Fight post are:
- Must be a new-to-your-blog recipe (not one you have previously posted)
- Must fit the theme or use the ingredient
- Must link back to this page
- Must include the blog hop
- Must have at least one picture that you have taken (not a stock photo or one from another site)
- Must cite your source unless you developed the recipe
There may be months where I need help choosing and if you want to participate in that, be sure to check out the Facebook group (linked below). I will most likely do social share posts as well for our posting days.
