Funfetti Cake Donuts

I'm not really a fan of donuts...unless they are CAKE donuts. I love chocolate cake donuts and blueberry cake donuts already...I kind of figured I would like these too. :)

Recipe from Cookies & Cups
What you need:
Donuts:
  • 2 3/4 cup funfetti cake mix
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Frosting:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • Sprinkles
Directions:
Mix together all donut ingredients.

Put in ziploc bag and cut the corner. Squeeze into a lightly greased donut pan. Fill each 2/3 of the way up.

Bake for 7 to 9 minutes in a preheated 425* oven.
You'll want them slightly browned and spring back when you touch them.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then remove from pan.

In a medium saucepan, combine ingredients over low heat. Stir until smooth.

Coat donuts in glaze and place on wax paper-lined wire rack.

After glaze has set, about 15 minutes, make your frosting by mixing together milk and powdered sugar.

Spread onto donuts and immediately top with sprinkles.
