French Vanilla Cake Mix Waffles

French Vanilla Cake Mix Waffles | 1 box of cake mix away from a sweet breakfast for the whole family to enjoy | www.fantasticalsharing.com

Having a waffle iron was one of the best investments I have made for my kitchen to date. I have this weird quirk where I can only make successful pancakes about 20% of the time, so being able to let a machine do most of the work makes for an edible breakfast for all!

What I really love about this recipe is that it is a shortcut and there are plenty of different flavor combinations you could do. I'm excited to check out the other flavor combinations I can make in the future. Check out Duncan Hines other flavors for their Frosting Creations frosting: here. [I'm not being compensated for that, I just want to show y'all what possible toppings you have!]

The waffles turn out fluffy and tasting just like French vanilla cake...the cinnamon roll frosting was the perfect topping for the cake mix waffles.

What you need:
  • 1 box French vanilla cake mix (plus ingredients per box instructions)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 container Duncan Hines Frosting Creations frosting with any flavor packet (I chose cinnamon roll)
Directions:

Mix together cake mix according to box instructions and add cinnamon and vanilla.

Pour batter into your waffle iron. Amount according to your iron's capacity. Cook until golden brown.

Meanwhile, mix together frosting with flavor packet.
Serve waffles warm with frosting drizzled over top.
