Start your day with this berrylicious recipe - loads of berries plus whatever toppings you want!
I've been wanting to jump on the smoothie bowl bandwagon for forever, but I'll be honest..I hate pulling out my blender so much. I don't have it out on the counter (although I would love to) and I also hate cleaning my blender. But I finally decided it was time to try one and it was super wonderful. Probably still not something I'll make all the time, but definitely a nice treat when you're craving berries in particular. I topped ours with blueberries, blackberries, banana, honey, coconut, almonds, and granola (cashew butter and cocoa nibs).

What you need:
For the smoothie:
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 1/2 cups mixed berries (frozen or fresh)
- 3 Tbsp. vanilla or berry yogurt (regular or Greek)
- Ice, if needed to thicken
- Assorted fruit (bananas, blueberries, strawberries, etc.)
- Sliced almonds
- Granola
- Honey or Agave for sweetness
- Coconut flakes
- Blend together almond milk, mixed berries, and yogurt until smooth. Add ice if you want a thicker base. Add additional almond milk if you want a thinner base.
- Pour smoothie into bowl and top with desired toppings. Serve immediately.
Smoothie bowls are great because you can use any type of smoothie base to make your bowl, including this Mango Coconut Smoothie that is too good for words. I would love to try this Green Smoothie Bowl from Sally's Baking Addiction because it's got spinach in it!
