Garlic Burgers

When you love garlic...really really love garlic, you make these very garlicky burgers because they are awesome!

The original Garlic Burgers recipe is actually a copycat recipe. However, I did not make it in the exact same way, so I will not claim it to be a copycat. The original is two quarter pound patties on French bread. I could not tell you why I chose to not make it the same way, but that's how it happened. Still, the garlickness of this recipe was really good. I was a little skeptical of so much garlic powder, but it works. It really works.

What you need:
  • 1 lb. ground beef (for 4 people)
  • 8 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices mild cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices Monterey jack cheese
  • Hamburger buns
  • Shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce
  • Yellow onion, sliced into half moons
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
Directions:
  1. Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season each side with salt and pepper and 1 tsp. garlic powder.
  2. Cook burgers on a grill or in a skillet until done. Add a slice of cheddar cheese and Monterey jack cheese to each burger in the last minute of cooking.
  3. Serve each burger on a hamburger bun with lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.

I love little variations to my burgers and this Bacon Cheeseburger has a spicy mayo on top that is so dang good and easy to make! But if you're a fan of garlic, then you must check out these Garlic Overload Burgers with Creamy Garlic Burger Sauce from Daily Dish Recipes.
