Copycat Cracker Barrel Pancakes

This classic buttermilk pancake recipe is something you want to have in your recipe arsenal!

I love going to Cracker Barrel and eating from their breakfast menu. I honestly cannot think of a time that I got an actual main dish/lunch/supper recipe there. It's always breakfast! I love their pancakes and wanted to try out this copycat at home. I have to admit, it's missing something, but it's still a perfectly solid classic pancake recipe.

What you need:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Mix together dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Measure buttermilk in measuring glass and add egg. Whisk together.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and whisk until just combined. Batter will be a little lumpy.
  4. Cook on a griddle or nonstick skillet 1/2 cup of batter for each pancake.
  5. Flip when bubbles form and the bottom is golden.
  6. Cook until golden brown on the other side and remove.
  7. Serve with butter and syrup.

Recipe from Real Mom Kitchen

These classic buttermilk pancakes are great but I have to say, this Lemon Raspberry Dutch Baby Pancake is out of this world delicious. The Simple Mom shared this recipe for another delicious breakfast, Copycat Cracker Barrel French Toast, and it looks so amazing.
