Countdown to 2016: Best Main Dish

Join us today as we share our favorite meals that made it to our dinner table.
It's the best main dishes of 2015!
The Countdown to 2016 begins December 26 - if you have a food blog, feel free to join in! #Countdownto2016 #best

Day three of the Countdown and we're ready to share our best main dish recipes. I am excited to see what the other bloggers have to share. I love the variety of foods that can be made to serve up each night for dinner and honestly don't think I could ever hoard enough main dish recipes. So bring it on!

I spoke briefly in the last two days about how I really blog main dish recipes a majority of the time. So it really comes as no surprise that I have a lot of recipes to share today. These are my favorites (noncrockpot) and I've decided to break it down into a few different categories: spicy, easy, pasta, soup, and one lonely copycat.

Countdown to 2016 continues today with me sharing the main event: the best main dishes of 2015. Stop by to see my favorites and other bloggers' favorites too. #maindish #Countdownto2016

SPICY
Chipotle BBQ Hawaiian Pizza - This is probably the spiciest pizza I've ever had and I loved it. It has so much going for it.
Jalapeno & Cheese Grilled Chicken - This one has taken off in the last two weeks of December as far as views on my blog. I wouldn't be surprised if it'll be the most viewed recipe of the year. It's very simple to make and can be super spicy or less spicy, depending on who you are feeding.
Buffalo Chicken Pizza Sticks - I didn't share a picture in the collage, but these turned out so aesthetically pleasing and we were so happy when the flavors matched the looks. Just a really delicious recipe.
Jalapeno Cheeseburgers with Bacon - I had to go back and check which jalapeno burger this was because I have another one that I need to post, but this one is an interesting burger recipe. It has a coffee glaze. I kind of looked at the recipe like...what?? But made it as the recipe stated and LOVED it. I was just thoroughly impressed with the glaze.
Jalapeno Popper Chicken Enchiladas - I'm working on making everything jalapeno popper. Like everything. LOVE jalapeno poppers.

EASY
Bacon, Pesto, & Chicken Pizza - This pizza was made once twice in a week because everyone loved it so much that there were no leftovers. It's still one I make quite often which is a rarity. So that shows you all just how much we love it.
Cheesesteaks - A great ole recipe for a classic!
Chicken Pesto Quinoa - 2014 & 2015 were very quinoa-heavy years and also very pesto-heavy. Two very yummy foods that go really well together :)
Southwest Tuna Salad Sandwiches - Even though tuna salad is not something everyone in the house likes, I love it. Until this recipe, I had only ever made it the traditional way. I was missing out, guys!!
Cheesy Baked Gnocchi - I often go to make recipes and discover they are meatless and that means I will definitely get complaints, so modifications are necessary. I took a base recipe for this gnocchi and turned it into a sort of spaghetti-like dish. I can't complain too much. It was fabulous!
Kielbasa, Pepper, Onion, & Potato Hash - I love when titles of recipes are so literal. I knew what to expect from it and I got what I expected. We don't eat potatoes very often anymore, so I go a little crazy when we finally do get them.
Sally's Hawaiian Pizza - I got a little creative with this bacony Hawaiian pizza and made it stuffed crust...which honestly makes every pizza better. The more cheese, the better, right?!

SOUP
Easy Zuppa Toscana Soup Copycat  - Nick gets the credit for making this soup. I made him wait until I got home from the hospital from having Mason to make it. I've had the real thing at Olive Garden and this copycat is dead on.
Chicken & Potato Chowder - When I was little, I had an aversion to chowders simply because I thought a chowder was a seafood soup. As I got older and learned what a chowder actually was, I started making all the chowder recipes...well, except clam chowder. Love this chicken and potato chowder. Two thumbs up.
Spicy Pork & Kale Soup - Kale, kale, and more kale. Yes, please!

PASTA
One Skillet Cheesy Hamburger Pasta - I made two very similar recipes for one skillet/one pot cheeseburger pasta and this one was my favorite of the two.
Homemade Garlic Herb con Broccoli - I think this is another Olive Garden copycat. Either way, it's a really great recipe. The sauce is mouthwateringly divine. Plus there is broccoli :)
DIY Hamburger Helper: Italian Style - I ate a lot of hamburger helper as a kid and was not a fan. I love this version though because it's got the same concept as hamburger helper, except it tastes like real food :)
Garlic Pesto Chicken with Tomato Cream Penne - I am in love with garlic and pesto and love how well they paired with the tomato cream sauce in this recipe.
Beefaroni - A classic recipe that I know all too well - and the recipe reflects it. It is simple and tastes just like how my mom used to make it.

COPYCAT
Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad Copycat - I haven't yet had the salad at Applebee's, so I can neither confirm or deny its authenticity. However, I can confirm its deliciousness. The homemade dressing is especially tasty!
