Fantastical Friday: 38 Weeks

How far along are you? 38 weeks
How are you feeling? Exhausted. I'm so done at this point :( Which is to be expected, I suppose, and I did hold off for weeks longer than previous pregnancies.
How big is baby? around 6.8 lbs and over 19.5 inches long according to my app. I had an ultrasound on the 5th and he was around 5lb 14oz, so he's probably closer to 6.5 lbs.
How are you sleeping? I seem to now have two kinds of nights that alternate. Nights where I get a good long stretch of comfortable, uninterrupted sleep and then nights where I roll from side to side unable to sleep for anymore than 20 minutes at a time due to "practice" contractions.
Food cravings/aversions? I'm basically getting to the point where nothing is appetizing and I can only eat small meals. It's really frustrating. I'm looking forward to the ravenous appetite that comes with breastfeeding.
Any milestones/other thoughts? So back in the day, I think 38 weeks was considered full term, but I guess now it's 39 weeks? I'm honestly not sure what's going on with all the stuff changing. As I've read my Baby 411 book (the new edition), I've noticed a lot of information with babies has changed too. So I guess it's good that I'm rereading and getting up-to-date on everything now. It's really surprising though since it's only been 7 years since my last baby!

I've been having lots of practice contractions, lots of lower back pain, lots of pressure...making just getting around the house exhausting and slow. Not to mention grocery shopping was practically impossible this week. Sunday, I was sure that I was going into labor for real...timed contractions for 2+ hours that went from nine minutes to six minutes. And then as soon as they got down to six, they stopped. Oh the joys of the last few weeks of pregnancy!

Matthew & Cami both came on their due dates, of their own accord, so I'm curious to see what Mason will do. Everyone expects me to go at any time because it's my 3rd and most subsequent children come before their due dates. But I think this one wants to be punctual too. So I'm holding out until the end of the month!
