Snickers Chex Mix
I'll be honest and say that I think that this is the best Chex mix I've ever had. I love a sweet and salty combo which is probably why I like Snickers so much. This Chex mix is supposed to be chocolate Chex based, but unfortunately we didn't have that so I used plain Chex. For as good as this recipe was with plain Chex, I can only imagine how amazing it is with chocolate Chex. This recipe has a chocolate drizzle, a caramel drizzle, Snickers bits, and peanuts. It's exactly what you'd want in a sweet Chex mix.

Jalapeno Popper Tuna Melts
Tuna melts with a kick of roasted jalapeno plus extra cheese and a bit of bacon too.
I have never had a more delicious tuna melt in my life. I love roasted jalapenos and they are super easy to do and are a genius addition to tuna salad. I loved the tuna salad part of this recipe too. I think I'm going to be adding a little lemon juice to every tuna salad I make for the rest of my life. That zing of lemon is perfect. We also got to try muenster cheese for the first time and we all liked it. It's always fun to try something new and everyone likes it :)

Slow Cooker Melt in Your Mouth BBQ Chicken
This chicken is slow cooked in homemade bbq sauce that is sweet and smokey with a little bite of vinegar!
I'm down for bbq sandwiches any time and I like to try out different recipes because there are so many styles of barbecue sauce out there. I believe this is closer to a Kansas City style bbq with its sweetness. But I do love the smokey flavor added by the molasses. I personally want coleslaw on any bbq sandwich, so I just whipped up some with prepared coleslaw dressing and premade cabbage mix. Friday, February 19, 2021
Cheesecake Factory Cashew Chicken Copycat
Crispy chicken in a spicy soy sauce with cashews and green onions all over a bed of rice makes for a fantastic dinner
I still haven't been to Cheesecake Factory even though I have made many copycats throughout the years and we literally have one in our mall. Still haven't gone. Maybe we will once the pandemic dies down a little, but until then, I'll just keep making copycats. I love this copycat because I adore cashew chicken stir fry or whatever this dish is. I really liked this method of making a slurry from rice flour and I really loved the spicy soy sauce too.Wednesday, February 17, 2021
Swirled Nutella Cheesecake Muffins
When you want a little sweet treat for breakfast, look no further than these yummy Nutella cheesecake muffins!
I tend to keep breakfast recipes on my meal plan and recycle them for months before I finally make them. I'm not sure why I do this when breakfast recipes rarely take long to make and I typically love them. This one was no different. The cheesecake swirl is so good and I loved the sugary topping too. They were such a nice sweet treat for breakfast!Monday, February 15, 2021
Turkey Parmesan Pasta
This amazing 7 ingredient dinner is ready in under 30 minutes and is a one pot meal!
I really love pasta dishes because they are so quick and they are typically easy on the wallet too. I was happy to find this really easy recipe because I have been trying to use more ground turkey than beef. Again, this is a really simple dish to throw together with only 7 ingredients. You may already have many of these on hand. It's a one pot meal - some of my favorites - and it's ready in under 30 minutes.Friday, February 12, 2021
Butterscotch Pie
The perfect no-bake dessert with six ingredients that is so quick to throw together!
I mostly prefer chocolate desserts. That's not to say that I don't like other desserts, but chocolate desserts are usually my favorite. However, I will say that my favorite pudding flavor is butterscotch. For some reason, we got butterscotch pudding the most when I was a kid and I loved it with a little dollop of Cool Whip because we always had Cool Whip on hand. I knew I would love this dessert and even though it isn't pudding alone, it's a pudding pie and it was very nostalgic.Wednesday, February 10, 2021
Carne Asada Street Tacos
Why have regular tacos when you can have street tacos with grilled carne asada!
I've mentioned many times that my husband has been obsessed with authentic Mexican food after traveling to San Diego for work over the past few years. I am fairly certain he lives on tacos while he's there. I know my tacos at home will never come close to the authentic food, but I do try and they are really tasty still. So these tacos were a hit because honestly you cannot go wrong with steak tacos. Plus the toppings that go with are pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and cotija cheese.Monday, February 08, 2021
Four Cheese Garlic White Cream Pasta
This quick pasta is super cheesy and garlicky - and pairs well with chicken!
I love this pasta recipe because it has my favorite things: cheese and garlic. I always put the amount of minced garlic the recipe calls for, but I can guarantee that I rarely ever put that amount in. I just dump in like 3 spoonfuls or more in. There is no such thing as too much garlic. I like the Italian four cheese blend of cheese for this recipe so I don't have to buy four different kinds of cheeses out just for 1 1/2 cups. I made Italian seasoned chicken to go with but I think Italian sausage would be great too.

Red Velvet Macadamia Nut Cookies
A great twist on macadamia nut cookies with cake mix - perfect for Valentine's Day (or whenever you feel like it)!
If you look through the past almost 10 1/2 years of me blogging, you will find very few red velvet recipes. I have no problem admitting that I know it's just chocolate flavor, but I still don't really care for it. To me, it just tastes like red food coloring and that's a no for me. However, occasionally I will make red velvet treats because my family likes them and occasionally, I will find one that I do actually like (for example, a sheet cake I blogged either last year or the year before - I'll link it near the bottom of this post). I have posted recipes that I didn't care for if the rest of my family liked them. It's definitely harder to describe them if I don't like them, but I'm not really the best at that anyways haha. So fortunately this recipe is one that I did like. I love white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and these were really a nice variation of them. I love cake mix cookies too - they are so chewy and delicious anyways, but a cake mix macadamia nut cookie is just *chef's kiss*Wednesday, February 03, 2021
Angel Hair Pasta with Italian Sausage
A quick pasta dish with sausage and red onions - and mushrooms if you like them!
I really like the simplicity of this recipe. The original recipe had mushrooms (you cook them with the onions if that's something you want), but only Cami eats mushrooms... so no mushrooms here. If you want to make this vegetarian, the original poster said you could sub in the sausage for more mushrooms and red onions. So it's super flexible to what you want.
