Berrylicious Smoothie Bowls

Start your day with this berrylicious recipe - loads of berries plus whatever toppings you want!

I've been wanting to jump on the smoothie bowl bandwagon for forever, but I'll be honest..I hate pulling out my blender so much. I don't have it out on the counter (although I would love to) and I also hate cleaning my blender. But I finally decided it was time to try one and it was super wonderful. Probably still not something I'll make all the time, but definitely a nice treat when you're craving berries in particular. I topped ours with blueberries, blackberries, banana, honey, coconut, almonds, and granola (cashew butter and cocoa nibs).

Mango Coconut Smoothie

Mango Coconut Smoothie | Summer may be gone, but you can still enjoy a tropical beverage for nostalgia's sake!

It just got cold in New York and I'm dreaming of warm summer days already. Some of our local grocery stores have some great frozen fruit mixes - this particular one is a favorite: mango, papaya, and pineapple.

This is just the most perfectly tropical, delicious, refreshing smoothie ever. I think it was the first thing I made in my Ninja blender when I first got it. If you use a blender/food processor a lot or have gone through too many, invest in a Ninja. They aren't sponsoring me or compensating me to say that, I'm just saying it from purchasing my own Ninja Kitchen System and using it :)

Drinks Week: Red Smoothie

#Drinks week continues with this Red Smoothie - made with strawberries and mango. It's the perfect summer drink! | www.fantasticalsharing.com

I love a good smoothie and it's one of the only ways I'll eat fresh fruit (or in this case frozen). My 6 year old is the same way - he likes the taste, not the texture of most fruits. Mangoes and strawberries are actually two fruits I will eat fresh and love, but it's hard to pass up a recipe like this. I am horrible at cutting mangoes, so I opted to use frozen mango. This is probably my most favorite smoothie I've ever had.

I've gotten super lazy with photos, so excuse the lovely ledge my smoothie is sitting on :)

Summer's Bounty Smoothies

I've never been big on eating fruit. It's not that I don't like the flavors - it's that durn texture that gets me every time! Smoothies are my favorite way to get my fix of fruit and they are especially nice to have during the hot days of summer.

Our produce is so funky up here - for weeks we didn't have peaches (my husband's favorite) in stock, just nectarines. So when I knew this recipe would use nectarines, I was all stoked, only to go to the grocery store and find no more nectarines and only peaches. LOL. I have the worst luck! I ended up using kiwi instead of the nectarine because we had some in the house I needed to use up!

Oh and this was my first time eating froyo! I loved it!

Bananarita Smoothie

I'm not a big fan of eating bananas, so I try to find other ways to eat them. I don't think I've had a mainly banana smoothie before, so I was curious to see how this one would turn out. It was very good. It wasn't overly sweet or thick. Both the kids loved it too.

Strawberry Banana Smoothies

I am not a big fan of "plain" yogurt...and I had a little vanilla...but I also had a little blueberry yogurt so I subbed plain yogurt for 6 oz. blueberry and 4 oz. vanilla.
