Cream Cheese Rippled Pumpkin Bread

This recipe reminds me so much of Starbucks Cheesecake Muffins with its delicious cream cheese layer!

Happy September! Although I've waited until September to post any pumpkin recipes - I've had many pumpkin things and also have plenty of pumpkin things to share. I don't know that I'll get around to sharing them all in the next few months, but I'll try. This is a recipe I've actually made a few times but still don't do a great job getting the cream cheese layer lower down. It still turns out so well and so delicious but isn't as pretty as the original :)

Triple Layer Pumpkin Spice Pie

This no-bake dessert is so easy to make and is topped with delicious candied pecans. Perfect fall dessert!

I absolutely adore no-bake pies because they usually are pudding-based and I really love it. It's such an easy, no hassle type of recipe. This one in particular is slightly elevated with candied pecans on top. They are only two ingredients, so they are really simple to make too.

Layered Pumpkin Pie Toffee Cheesecake

It's Pumpkin Time, Y'all! And that means delicious treats like this cheesecake that's topped with a layer of pumpkin pie!

Y'all. I don't think I could be any more in love with a cheesecake recipe than I am with this one. It's got pumpkin pie. A literal layer of pumpkin pie, but it's also cheesecake. It's my favorite. I don't like pie crust, but I do love pumpkin pie (I usually just don't eat the outside rim of crust). But this is the best of both worlds because there is graham cracker crust - yum! - and cheesecake - another yum! - AND PUMPKIN PIE. Oh and throw some toffee on that too. Also, it's my 32nd birthday today and if I wasn't having a carrot cake cheesecake, I'd definitely have this cheesecake for my birthday cake.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Banana Bread

This combination of pumpkin and banana bread is such a treat, but the cheesecake filling really makes the recipe supreme!

I am so excited to start sharing fall recipes - FINALLY. My poor husband got off work on Monday and found all the fall and Halloween decorations out. It's still in the high 80s here in Tennessee, but September 1st is always the beginning of fall for me (even if it's technically not fall yet). I've been making pumpkin recipes already and I'm happy to share this awesome pumpkin recipe today. I think what I enjoy most is that this is sort of easing into fall treats. It's not 100% pumpkin bread, so it's a nice subtle way to start off the season. I also adore the cheesecake filling. I mean banana bread and pumpkin bread are great with some cream cheese spread, so having that cream cheese baked into it is just perfection!

Pumpkin Mug Cake #FantasticalFoodFight

Welcome to another Food Fight! Fantastical Food Fight is a group of food bloggers who will get a theme or ingredient each month and make some sort of variation for it. It could be traditional or nontraditional and can be found in a cookbook, on a blog, or be a blogger's own creation! For more details, check out this page.

This month's Fantastical Food Fight theme is PUMPKIN. I tried to make sure that we didn't repeat a theme/ingredient and it seemed like the perfect time to share some pumpkin recipes, so our theme for October is the ingredient pumpkin. It can be savory or sweet.

I chose to share one of my favorite quick treats or if I'm feeling like it, breakfast. Mug cakes are so super easy and a ton of them can be made with ingredients you already have on hand (especially if you bake a lot). I gotta say that it's really awesome to make a cake in less than 5 minutes. You get that little bit of sweet treat without all the mess and time. It's the best! This pumpkin mug cake is so much like a classic pumpkin cake and you could dress it up with pecans and caramel if you wanted to indulge a little more!

White Chocolate Pumpkin Snickerdoodles

Just when you though snickerdoodles couldn't get any better, now you can add pumpkin AND white chocolate to them!

I made these last fall and loved them, but they disappeared so fast that I didn't get a picture of them. Of course, I was absolutely devastated that I had to make them again this year, right?! I did get a picture of them, but barely. They disappeared just as quickly. I have to say they are very close to my favorite cookie of all-time. I think they are the perfect amount of snickerdoodle with a hint of pumpkin and pumpkin spice. And the melty bits of white chocolate are just heaven.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

The softest chocolate chip cookies made with pumpkin pudding mix for the most wonderful fall treats ever.

I discovered something extremely disconcerting while preparing this post for today...I have not posted a pumpkin recipe since December 2017. That's nearly two years ago and completely unacceptable. Usually I am a year behind on posting recipes, so I must not have made too many pumpkin recipes in 2017 if I didn't post any last year. This year, I believe I have at least a couple pumpkin recipes to share :) I have 5 or 6 pumpkin recipes on my September meal plan, so hopefully next year I will be better prepared for fall!

These cookies are very typical pudding cookies. I've used a bit of the base recipe to make different variations on my blog years ago. I love the simplicity of it and how solid the base recipe is. There are so many possibilities. This combination of pumpkin spice pudding and semisweet chocolate chips is a wonderful combination. Perfect for fall, without a doubt!

Pumpkin Molasses Cookies #SundaySupper

These chewy cookies are everything spice and nice and you won't be able to stop at one!

Pumpkin Molasses Cookies // These chewy cookies are everything spice and nice and you won't be able to stop at one! #recipe #pumpkin #molasses #cookies #dessert #SundaySupper

Today's Sunday Supper Movement event is BEST COOKIE EXCHANGE RECIPES. I jumped onto  this so quickly because I am in love with cookies and I love doing cookie exchanges. Really I love making cookies, especially at the holidays.

I originally found these cookies and they were named Pumpkin Gingersnaps. I didn't change the recipe, but I felt that they reminded me more of molasses cookies because they are thicker, crunchy on the edges, and soft and chewy in the middle. They definitely reminded me of my mom's molasses cookies that were my childhood favorite.

These pumpkin molasses cookies were so puffy and chewy and I loved every bit of them. I ate entirely too many and I'm seriously considering making another batch and hiding them, because as it turns out, Nick and Cami also really really like them.

These cookies, I feel, would be best for an in-person cookie exchange. But if you do want to send them, I suggest buying some inexpensive plastic food storage containers at a dollar store, so that there is a little protection while getting sent through the mail.

Pumpkin Cheese Danish

What a wonderful pastry to enjoy with a cup of coffee on a fall morning!

Pumpkin Cheese Danish // What a wonderful pastry to enjoy with a cup of coffee on a fall morning! #recipe #danish #pumpkin #breakfast

When I was pregnant with Mason, I found this amazing danish-style coffee cake that I could eat by myself in like two sittings. It was pumpkin and it was glorious. Since that fall, I have not been able to find it again. I haven't given up hope, but I have definitely tried my hardest to make as many pumpkin danish-like things as possible to make up for that. These are super easy to make and they are so very delicious.

Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese Rolls #SundaySupper

These mini rolls have a pumpkin cream cheese filling and are topped with a decadent cream cheese frosting

Pumpkin Spiced Cream Cheese Rolls // These mini rolls have a pumpkin cream cheese filling and are topped with a decadent cream cheese frosting #recipe #pumpkin #breakfast

Today's Sunday Supper event has me squealing with joy because it's SIMPLE PUMPKIN RECIPES. This time of year is my favorite because it's acceptable once again to love pumpkin - even though I love it all year round. I never stop loving pumpkin. I also love pumpkin spice too - the flavors of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice are so very fall to me. I've wanted to make this recipe from Picky Palate for so long and I finally got around to it to share this morning.

The recipe is very simple and doesn't take a lot of time or ingredients. I actually was able to use a partially used can of pumpkin puree from my fridge, so it worked out really well in my favor. I also added a touch of pumpkin spice on top of these rolls since they only technically contained a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Even though there were two cake pans of little mini rolls - these guys lasted all of one day for us. I kept going back to grab one and seeing fewer and fewer in the pan. Even my husband, the proclaimed "Not a huge sweets fan" was grabbing one or two here and there throughout the day. Definitely a winner in our household!

Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

Pancakes have never been better with a good helping of pumpkin and cinnamon sugar swirl.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes // Pancakes have never been better with a good helping of pumpkin and cinnamon sugar swirl #breakfast #pumpkin #recipe #pancakes

Cinnamon roll pancakes are one of the best things to have ever been invented. The cinnamon sugar swirl in a fluffy pancake and cream cheese frosting on top?! YES! When I saw a recipe that also incorporated pumpkin into it, I was 100% sold on making it. I really loved the way Lori explained how to do the cinnamon sugar filling properly. I remember the first time I attempted plain cinnamon roll pancakes and my cinnamon roll filling was way too liquidy and it was such a mess. It definitely has to have a particular consistency to come out correctly. These pancakes are the perfect fall breakfast. Although it may seem complicated, they are much less difficult to make than regular cinnamon rolls and only slightly more difficult than regular pancakes.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cake

A little twist on a classic pumpkin cake with a fantastic cream cheese swirl!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cake // A little twist on a classic pumpkin cake with a fantastic cream cheese swirl! #recipe #cake #pumpkin #dessert

It's time! PUMPKIN TIME :) This is my first pumpkin recipe to share for 2017 and it's pretty high up there on the list of favorite pumpkin cake recipes I've made. My sister-in-law, Emma, tagged me in a Facebook post when she found the recipe and wanted me to make it for family dinner, so I did! It tastes like a classic pumpkin cake, but that cream cheese swirl is out of this world. It really makes the cake.

Pumpkin Cake Roll #SRCFallDishes

The perfect fall dessert that looks impressive but is so simple to make
Pumpkin Cake Roll // The perfect fall dessert that looks impressive but is so simple to make #recipe #pumpkin #cake #dessert #SRCFallDishes

Today is an "extra" Monday for the month, so there is a Themed Reveal Day for the Secret Recipe Club. What that means is that there is a special theme and everyone in the club can join in if they want - no group restrictions! Today's theme is FALL DISHES. I was assigned to a former Group D member, now Group member, Wendy of A Day in the Life on the Farm. Wendy and her husband are retired cops who live on a slightly smaller farm than before (12 acres to 5 now). They have four children between them and have hosted foreign exchange students in their home - including Tingting who has grown up, gotten married, and given Wendy and her husband their first grandchild, Melody. Wendy is a fantastically positive person and her blog is filled with not only food, but so many good stories about her life.

Pumpkin Cake Roll // The perfect fall dessert that looks impressive but is so simple to make #recipe #pumpkin #cake #dessert #SRCFallDishes

Now I didn't make our theme for this special reveal pumpkin...because not everyone likes pumpkin and pumpkin lovers tend to go a little bit overboard...I know because I do. So our theme was to make dishes that are perfect for the season of fall: soups and chilis, food for Thanksgiving (like pecan pie), squash recipes, apple anything, and, of course, pumpkin too.

Because I do love anything pumpkin, when I took to recipe hunting, I only looked at the pumpkin recipes on Wendy's blog. I narrowed down my list to Pumpkin Yeast Bread, Pumpkin Spice Cookie Blossoms, Pumpkin Praline Pancakes., and Pumpkin Cake Roll (which I obviously chose). I thought it was a nice variety and really what it came down to was that I have been wanting to make a cake roll for so very long. I was so nervous to do it. I didn't realize that the cake was spongey, so it doesn't tear.

Pumpkin Cake Roll // The perfect fall dessert that looks impressive but is so simple to make #recipe #pumpkin #cake #dessert #SRCFallDishes

I was so incredibly impressed with how easy this was to make and how well it turned out. I wish I wasn't so scared of these to begin with because I would make this weekly. It was one of the best pumpkin anythings I've ever had. I served it up for dessert for a large family gathering and everyone loved it. I only changed it up every so slightly. I chose to add 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice to the mix because I thought 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon seemed like so little spice and I wanted more. I also split the filling up so that I had some to cover the top to make it look pretty. And just an FYI, this only makes one roll, I just cut it in half to fit on a plate.

Pumpkin Cake Cheesecake

Two desserts in one topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting - pumpkin pie just can't compete!
Pumpkin Cake Cheesecake // Two desserts in one topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting - pumpkin pie just can't compete! #recipe #pumpkin #cheesecake #dessert

If you're here, I am going to assume it's because you have seen the title and are in awe that such a thing can exist. When I saw this recipe on Sally's Baking Addiction, I did the same thing. It's such a gorgeous, wonderful dessert. It also isn't nearly as difficult as I had imagined it would be. And it got rave reviews at Thanksgiving. My brother actually asked for me to make it for his birthday in March. :) Basically what you have is a layer of pumpkin cake, a layer of cheesecake, a layer of pumpkin cake, and then another layer of cheesecake. All of that is topped with a cream cheese frosting and pecans.  I honestly have never had anything so amazing in my life.

Pumpkin Cake Cheesecake // Two desserts in one topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting - pumpkin pie just can't compete! #recipe #pumpkin #cheesecake #dessert

It is something you will want to make a day before you need it because it does require some cooking, cooling to room temperature, and chilling the refrigerator, but it is SO worth it. You can make your cream cheese frosting the day of baking the cake cheesecake, but will definitely want to wait until it is finished chilling to frost it.

Also in the ingredient list you will find where it says to blot the pumpkin puree to get some of the moisture out. The purpose of getting extra moisture out is so that your cake won't sink and be really flat. The way Sally said to do it was to line a large bowl with a double layer of paper towels, pour your pumpkin in the bowl and then use another paper towel to blot the pumpkin.

And I had to include a picture of what the cake looks like prior to baking. Nothing super pretty and NOT swirled with a knife. Don't do that! :)

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Rum Frosting

These delicious spiced cupcakes flavored with real pumpkin are topped with a decadent maple rum buttercream frosting!
Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Rum Frosting // These delicious spiced cupcakes flavored with real pumpkin are topped with a decadent maple rum buttercream frosting! #dessert #cupcakes #pumpkin #maple #rum #recipe

When my husband was tasked to bring dessert in for a company holiday lunch last year, I immediately took to the kitchen to make a pumpkin recipe of some sort. I am bad for hoarding dessert recipes, but even worse with pumpkin recipes and I know they are more welcome in the fall than any other time of the year. I personally like them any day of the year, but some people look at you like you're crazy to give them a pumpkin cupcake in July. Same with if you offered someone a peppermint treat in April...even though peppermint is also good any time of the year.

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Rum Frosting // These delicious spiced cupcakes flavored with real pumpkin are topped with a decadent maple rum buttercream frosting! #dessert #cupcakes #pumpkin #maple #rum #recipe

I chose to make these cupcakes because of the maple rum frosting. That's not necessarily my go-to thought when I think of what to pair with pumpkin. I knew that Nick would love it and thought it would make for a great recipe for him because he loves maple anything and rum is his favorite liquor. While I was not necessarily the biggest fan of the frosting, I loved the spices in the cupcake. Nick loved the maple rum frosting. It was really fluffy and he said the maple and rum complimented each other perfectly. They were a huge hit at the office too!

Pumpkin Pie Peanut Butter Cups

Move over peanut butter cups, fall is almost here and that means pumpkin is taking over!
Pumpkin Pie Peanut Butter Cups // Move over peanut butter cups, fall is almost here and that means pumpkin is taking over! #recipe #pumpkin #candy #Reeses

That moment of panic when you realize that you signed up for the reveal day for the month and even pinned lots of recipes to try from your assigned blog and then didn't make anything...ACK! That was me this month. As some of y'all may know, I am the head honcho for the Secret Recipe Club. I do up all the assignments and am in charge of Group C (the group I am in), so I should be paying attention to what I am doing in the club. Whoops!

I was assigned to Sarah's blog, The Pajama Chef, this month and I picked out some really good recipes that I wanted to make. Sarah is a married mom to a sweet little boy and resides in Nashville (hi, neighbor to the west!). She has three kitties and loves to run and read!

I really wanted to make her Pretzel Rolls and that was actually my plan to begin with, but because I failed at remembering that I had recipes to make that I had picked out I went with the recipe that I had all the ingredients on hand for: Pumpkin Pie Peanut Butter Cups. I'm not too bummed about this because they were amazing, easy, and I loved them. I love Reese's, but adding pumpkin is just genius.

Some other recipes I had saved on my secret Pinterest board: Aunt Charlotte's Tex Mex Corn, The Best Egg Salad I've Ever Had, The Bestest Pizza Sauce Ever (I have never made my own and she says it isn't too tomato-y which makes me hopeful!), 1970s Style Tacos, Pumpkin Cheesecake with Pecan Praline Sauce, Coffee Blondies, Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies, and Healthy Crumb-Topped Zucchini Bread.

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting #SundaySupper

Hello, all! I'm back for another round of the Sunday Supper Movement. Today's theme is Fall Flavors and, of course, I couldn't think of anything more fitting than these little cupcakes that I had made last year for my birthday. But somehow I still hadn't posted on the blog. Gotta love when it's been more than a year since you've made a recipe before it goes up on the blog. Whoopsies.

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting | If there is anything to celebrate about fall, it's these wonderful cupcakes bursting with pumpkin and cinnamon flavors #SundaySupper #pumpkin

Every year for my birthday, I sit down and scour my cake/dessert Pinterest boards for the recipe I most want to try for my birthday cake. I know some people find it weird, but I love making my own. I don't really have enough excuses to make cake, so I am definitely using my own birthday as a time to make cake! Each year I go in thinking I'll make a cheesecake, but ultimately end up with something else. Part of why I love September so much is because pumpkin everything is out. And when pumpkin everything starts coming out, I go CRAZY. I buy all the pumpkin everythings. This year I have purchased at least one new pumpkin product each time I've gone to the grocery store. So I think it was no surprise to anyone when I chose to make pumpkin cupcakes for my birthday.

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting | If there is anything to celebrate about fall, it's these wonderful cupcakes bursting with pumpkin and cinnamon flavors #SundaySupper #pumpkin

These little cuties are very moist and delectable. Buttercream is one of my favorites and honestly, this buttercream takes the cake. Hardy har har. But really it does. It's so delicious and I could see it going with so many other flavors, too. But it definitely complimented the pumpkin so very well. I chose to make them look super fancy with some gold sanding sugar and edible pearls. I just adore how they turned out and almost hated to eat them! All in all, they were perfect for my birthday and I definitely need to make them again this fall!

Pumpkin Pie Pretzels #GladeForFall #cbias #ad

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GladeForFall #CollectiveBias

Every Monday, I go to my happy place...Kroger! Right now is my favorite time of the year and I look forward to going to the grocery store. Why? Because there is always a new pumpkin treat to discover or an adorable owl coffee mug, candle holder, etc. I try to steer clear of our candle aisle because I have a candle problem, but I saw the little blue “look what’s new” tags walking past and had to stop!

I picked up a few of the new Glade® Limited Edition Fall Collection Fall Scents goodies and couldn’t wait to go home to make my house smell all autumn-y. I picked up a pack of each of the new scents of the PlugIns® scented oils - Hit the Road™ and Pumpkin Pit Stop™ - and I picked up a Pumpkin Pit Stop™ Jar Candle. Our Kroger is currently moving stuff around, so that stuff is categorized in the aisles in a more common sense way, so unfortunately I cannot tell you the exact aisle number you can find these on. But you know your Kroger store - these lovelies are in the candle aisle.

Pumpkin Coffeecake

Pumpkin Coffeecake | The perfect treat for a cool autumn morning and the perfect partner to a cup of coffee #breakfast #pumpkin #coffeecake

It's not September without pumpkin recipes, right?! Okay okay, maybe it's still September with or without pumpkins, but I can't help myself. I go straight up banana sandwich for some pumpkiny food!

Pumpkin Coffeecake | The perfect treat for a cool autumn morning and the perfect partner to a cup of coffee #breakfast #pumpkin #coffeecake

I don't make coffeecake enough. I love having an excuse to have cake for breakfast. This beautiful, gorgeous cake has a streusel like topping along with the sugar glaze. Although it's not completely from scratch, the yellow cake mix really makes for a fluffy, moist treat. And it really really is perfect with coffee.

Pumpkin Bars

Pumpkin Bars | This dessert is a classic! Moist, pumpkiny bars with a cream cheese frosting that can't be beat! #recipe #dessert #pumpkin

It is not traditional "pumpkin season" right now, but you know what...I'm NOT okay with that. Pumpkin, for me, is a year round thing. This recipe is a very popular one - you've probably seen it on a million food blogs or one of your family members has probably made it for years. It's as common as pumpkin pie. But even if they are common/popular, I did make them and wanted to share them because that's what I do!

If you haven't seen these or made them, then you're in for a treat! These tasty little squares are pumpkiny, moist and loaded with a cream cheese frosting :)
