Swirled Nutella Cheesecake Muffins

When you want a little sweet treat for breakfast, look no further than these yummy Nutella cheesecake muffins!

I tend to keep breakfast recipes on my meal plan and recycle them for months before I finally make them. I'm not sure why I do this when breakfast recipes rarely take long to make and I typically love them. This one was no different. The cheesecake swirl is so good and I loved the sugary topping too. They were such a nice sweet treat for breakfast!

Nutella Swirl Danish Ring

It's oh so amazing what you can do with refrigerated crescent rolls, like this incredible Nutella danish!

I feel like I've made a few recipes with refrigerated crescents to make danishes and I haven't had much luck with them turning out. I didn't have high expectations going in and once again, low expectations for the win because I was blown away with how delicious this simple recipe was. It wasn't super hard to make and it turns out looking so pretty and fancy. And like you slaved over for so long. Definitely all wins in my book - easy to make, looks great, tastes even better!

Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Truffles

These delicious chocolate candies are the perfect bite-sized decadent treat for any day of the week!

Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Truffles #candy #chocolate #hazelnut #truffles #recipe

I am in love with Ferrero Rochers and I, for some reason, got this recipe mixed up with another on my candy Pinterest board that was a copycat of the little hazelnut truffles that I love so much. I realized it when I went to go make it, but I wasn't too bummed because these are still truffles and still chocolate and hazelnut. They did take a bit of time to make - mostly chilling time - but were definitely worth it. I made mine with semisweet chocolate, but you can also do milk chocolate for a sweeter truffle. I might do milk chocolate for the center and semisweet for the dipping and see how I like that combination.

Banana Nutella Muffins

Sweet banana muffins with a rich swirl of Nutella
Banana Nutella Muffins // Sweet banana muffins with a rich swirl of Nutella #recipe #muffins #breakfast #Nutella

Banana bread is one of my all-time favorite things and I do occasionally enjoy a lovely banana nut muffin. I thought the idea of Nutella and banana together in a muffin was such a great idea and the recipe itself looked quite simple. And all those things were so true. The muffins were very easy to make and they were so delicious. The richness of the Nutella really truly is the perfect addition to a sweet banana muffin.

Berliners #SecretRecipeClub

http://secret-recipe-club.blogspot.com

It's time again for Secret Recipe Club reveal day for my group, Group D! What is Secret Recipe Club? It's a bunch of food bloggers separated into four groups that post once a month on a designated Monday. Each month, we are paired with another foodie from our group secretly (hence the name). We then pick a recipe (or two or more) from that blog and make it. On our reveal day, we reveal whose blog we had and what recipe(s) we chose all at the same time. It's like a Secret Santa every month, but with food and blogs! It's a great deal of fun :)

This month I was assigned to Tara of Tara's Multicultural Table. I have been looking forward to having Tara's blog because I wanted to be a little adventurous. Tara's blog boasts so many different cuisines from Filipino to Greek to Australian and everything in between. I suppose I could have gone and done something more out of my comfort zone, but I was definitely intrigued by the picture for European cuisine on her recipe index [see here].

I did still pick out a few others as a back up, in case I royally screwed up the European recipe. There is Gnocchi Parisienne [French], Lemon Sage Chicken, and Loco Moco [Hawaiian]. Arme Riddere [Norwegian] was almost my pick, but I wasn't sure fresh strawberries would be any good at the store. In the end, I chose the German Berliners. They are these fabulous little German doughnuts, but I must direct you to Tara's post because she talks all about the traditions of Karneval where fried foods, like Berliners, are popular.

Tara had talked about different fillings for these fried pastries, including chocolate and different jams, and that is where I put my little spin on it and used Nutella for my filling. They turned out wonderfully. I used my deep fryer, so they cooked more quickly than if I had done it in a pan..so it really just depends on your method as to how quickly they cook. I always keep an eye on food when I fry it because it's one of those things where one minute they are almost done and you turn back to them and they are way way too fried!

Nutella Cheesecake Shooters #SundaySupper

Nutella Cheesecake Shooters | The perfect light dessert with a fluffy cheesecake filling layered with berries and whipped cream on top of a graham crust #SundaySupper #nutella #recipe

It's time for another round of #SundaySupper yumminess! Because today is Mother's Day and we all love the moms in our lives, we are sharing recipes for Mother's Day. I chose dessert because that is something my mom enjoys making. My mom always volunteered to make mints (the cream cheese kind) for wedding showers, baby showers, and graduation open houses when I was little. She volunteered to make desserts for church. She made cookies, bars, and cakes. She actually went to school for cake decorating and does that for a hobby nowadays for her church's "meals on wheels" type program.

I chose to do a smaller portion dessert because even though my mom loves sweets - she doesn't like big portions of them. She also loves fruit and cheesecake! So this combination is just perfect for her and many other moms too :) When I made these, I split them up into five portions - two for the kids and three for the adults. When I make it again (yes, again!), I will definitely double the amount and make it in 4 jam mason jars for four full desserts. It's really fast to throw together and turns out very tasty and sits light in your stomach. So it's really perfect for a big get-together pot roast type Sunday dinner - like we're having tonight at my mom-in-law's. It was the perfect amount of dessert and incredibly creamy and fluffy. It tasted like an amazing cheesecake, but in a more pudding type version. Definitely cannot be missed - you have to try this for the moms in your life!

Coffee Nutella Swirl Ice Cream {No Machine Needed}

Coffee Nutella Swirl Ice Cream {No Machine Needed} | A super easy homemade ice cream featuring coffee and Nutella - and no machine is needed! #recipe #Nutella #icecream #coffee

Over the last summer, I started testing out some frozen treat recipes. There was an influx of bloggers posting no machine recipes and it made me so excited! I had been wanting an ice cream maker, but still hadn't gotten around to getting one. Then my awesome hubby got me the ice cream maker attachment for my KitchenAid mixer for my birthday!

However, if you do not have an ice cream maker - this recipe is supremely amazing! Actually even with an ice cream maker, I'd totally make this again. It's delicious. Coffee and nutella - yum yum yum! The consistency is a little softer than ice cream from the store and it's quite rich, but it is so good. Very easy to make and very few ingredients :)

Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee

Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee | Delicious iced coffee with #Nutella and whipped cream and a hazelnut cookie wafer to top it off. #recipe

It drives Nick nuts, but I will totally drink my coffee once it gets cold. It doesn't even have to have ice in it which apparently is sacrilege to even let it get cold in the first place. I also do like actual iced coffee. And that's why I just had to try out this lovely hazelnut iced coffee.

I am kind of picky with coffee flavors (with creamer), but I will do some hazelnut coffee any time. This particular hazelnut coffee actually has Nutella in it! And who doesn't like Nutella??? i mean it. Who doesn't? We need to find that person and help them understand the amazingness that is Nutella :)

Salted Peanut Nutella Puppy Chow

Salted Peanut Nutella Puppy Chow | Regardless of if you call it puppy chow or muddy buddies, this recipe is amazing!

Salted Peanut Nutella Puppy Chow | Regardless of if you call it puppy chow or muddy buddies, this recipe is amazing!

You cannot go wrong with traditional puppy chow or muddy buddies, but I've loved the variations I've tried so far: Thin Mint and Milky Way. I was dying to try another one as soon as possible. I figured the best time would be Christmas season since there's a lot of snacking around the holidays. We really loved this combination - it was just perfection to have the Nutella and salty peanuts.

Nutella Swirl Pound Cake

Nutella Swirl Pound Cake | Pound cake with a hint of cinnamon and a #Nutella center!

As I mentioned in my latest Fantastical Friday post and various random posts, I volunteer in my husband's unit with the Family Readiness Group as the leader. I pretty much help out with any battalion event, even if it's another company within the battalion holding the event, if there is food involved. About a year ago now, we attempted to provide breakfast at an event - we figured we would try for waffles. I was tasked with bringing my waffle iron, plus powdered sugar and Nutella. I bought a bunch of both and when I went to make this pound cake, I assumed that I still had 1 or 2 large containers of Nutella leftover (I'm still working through the last few bags of powdered sugar I brought).

Turns out I didn't have any extras left and, of course, I am always horrible about assuming I have things on hand and being in the middle of making the recipe when I discover that I'm missing ingredients. I unfortunately only had enough for one layer of Nutella. It was fantastic with one layer and I'm sure two layers knocks it out of the ballpark. The cake itself is so moist and delicious. I loved the addition of cinnamon to it. It really just made the cake!

Nutella Twix Blondies

Nutella Twix Blondies | A chewy, soft dessert with Twix inside and Nutella on top!

Nutella Twix Blondies | A chewy, soft dessert with Twix inside and Nutella on top!

It's finally Friday! This week has been a whirlwind of activity. I am about to tie up all the loose ends for transferring to another college - my current college has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I'm only halfway through the term. I'm ready for my new college. So so so ready to go! Both kids had a dentist appointment on Wednesday and no cavities for either of them. Yesterday, I was surprised to get a new dishwasher. I apparently had a lot of issues that led to my dishwasher getting replaced - it was leaking and not draining after running the cycle, plus there were parts broken inside and also a clog in the tubing/piping. It's a super amazing dishwasher so far and I'm so giddy excited about it :)

Now I can dirty dishes without worrying about doing too many dishes by hand because my nasty dishwasher doesn't really clean them. This means that I need to bake some things. These Nutella Twix Blondies are perfect for a quick fix on the weekend. They are chewy with a bit of crunch from the Twix with some delicious Nutella drizzled over the top. YUM!

Oh! I also updated my blog look. I started scheming a few weeks ago and I hope to keep it this way for a WHILE. I put categories right up top for easy access and I hope that'll be better than what I had up there. If you notice on the right, I have a category for Fantastical Friday. That is something new I'll be starting in January and I'm really excited for that :) You may notice my pin it button at the top of the post is gone and I will be working to fix that as soon as possible.

Cheesecake Nutella Twists

Nutella Cheesecake Twists | Cream cheese and #Nutella in a crescent drizzled with chocolate | www.fantasticalsharing.com

I just joined the world of double boiler users. I don't have any clear glass bowls and melting chocolates (without the addition of butter and sugar) was becoming extremely frustrating. I have to say it's been one of the most frustrating things about not having a microwave. I'm also not sure why it took me a year to get a double boiler, but I can't wait to test it out.

Most likely the very first recipe I'll use to test out my brand-spankin' new double boiler is this yummy breakfast twist recipe that uses none other than NUTELLA!! Mine don't look quite like Jocelyn's, but the great thing about this recipe is that it doesn't haven't to look pretty to be delicious. I do suppose having the chocolate drizzle on top would make it so much prettier :)

Nutella Stuffed French Toast

Nutella Stuffed French Toast - perfect for a #backtoschool breakfast - sweet & filling! | www.fantasticalsharing.com

How many of you parents are looking forward to the school year or already have kiddos back in school? My kids have a little over two weeks and this is my first year with both of them going to school. Matthew starts first grade and Cami starts kindergarten. They are counting down (and so am I) and can barely contain their excitement!

I've been testing out quick and filling recipes throughout the summer for the start of the school year. I think this one takes the cake. You can pair it with any type of fruit, really. Nutella goes well with all of the berries and I'm sure it'd be amazing with pineapples or apples. So not only is it sweet and filling, but it's a great way to sneak in some fruit before they start their school day!

Nutella Donuts

Nutella Donuts: fluffy #donuts made with #Nutella and dipped in a Nutella glaze | www.fantasticalsharing.com

Today is Fantastical's 3rd blog birthday! Sometimes it's hard to believe it's been that long already, but I love sharing what my adventures from recipe hoarding have brought to my kitchen :) This month, I decided to take a semi-break from making a ton of new recipes like I normally do since I have enough recipes to post into November. I'm going to focus on two cookbooks I have for review and picture retakes of recipes from when I first started blogging. So watch out on the Fantastical social media outlets for updated pictures of old favorites over the course of next month.

I've recently become a bit of a Nutella recipe fiend. I'm not big on it by itself, but I love foods flavored with it. These are soft, fluffy Nutella donuts dipped in a Nutella glaze. Surprisingly, it's not overwhelming. It's just bombtastic. Yes, so good that you have to make up words to describe it! Probably one of my favorite donuts to date and one you definitely need to try!

Drinks Week: Strawberry Nutella Milkshakes

A twist on a classic - these Strawberry Nutella Milkshakes are dangerously addictive | www.fantasticalsharing.com

I am so so late on the Nutella craze, but I am coming around slowly but surely. I love strawberry milkshakes and thought that it could not be more genius to add Nutella to them. Genius and SO good. These are dangerously addictive milkshakes and you'll be sorely disappointed if you don't make them as soon as possible!

Chocolate Week: Nutella Cupcakes with Nutella Buttercream Frosting

Today is the conclusion of chocolate week - and I'm ending it with a bang.

For those who don't know, I live in upstate NY, a mere thirty miles from the border of Canada. My husband is in the army and we live in a duplex that was we shall call hastily built. There were tons constructed as quickly and cheaply as possible. One of the unfortunate things about our house is that we have windows all along the backside wall of our house, both upstairs and downstairs, but virtually no windows on the front or sides. My kitchen has one window and it's technically a sliding door to the porch/side yard that has a giant tree shadowing it. It is not often that I have enough natural light to get a great picture of food. Also since a majority of the food I share is main dish, it's already dark out here and I have NO natural light.

I was really lucky the day I made these cupcakes. It was during a bright, sunny day and I took advantage of the full wall of windows in my living room. I am going to go out a limb here and say that the final food pictures are the BEST food pictures I have ever taken and I'm very proud of them.

I'm also starting to get better with frosting cupcakes - my momma who went to school for decorating would be so proud! These Nutella cupcakes were rich, smooth, velvety, and really everything I could have ever wanted out of a cupcake.
