I have seen a lot of bang bang shrimp recipes around, but I'm not the biggest shrimp fan so I didn't bother looking to see what it entailed. When I saw bang bang chicken, I definitely perked up my ears. The sauce definitely had my interests peaked. Overall, it has an amazing crunchy coating and the sauce is perfection.

- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. hot sauce
- Salt and pepper
- Panko
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp. hot sauce
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- Mix sauce ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Mix flour, cornstarch, garlic, paprika, and salt and pepper.
- Whisk in hot sauce, egg, and buttermilk until smooth.
- Add chicken to the mixture and toss to coat.
- Pour about 1 cup of Panko in a shallow dish. Coat chicken in Panko and press slightly to help the Panko stick.
- Heat about half an inch of oil in a deep skillet and fry chicken until golden brown on each side and cooked all the way through.
