Is there anything more iconic than a Big Mac? This recipe is the perfect copycat to the McDonald's staple menu item.
At this point, I'm not sure anyone would be surprised that I have another copycat recipe to share. I adore copycat recipes and will continue to find new ones to make. In fact, I definitely think 2019 needs to be another year for me to create my own and I 100% have quite a few in mind that I would like to recreate. However, I adore finding ones from my blogging friends too and this Copycat Big Mac recipe is definitely a keeper. It's a really easy recipe to make and doesn't really have too many more steps than a regular ole burger. So why not have it instead of a regular burger? The sauce is iconic and this one does taste nearly identical and has all the right elements, in my opinion. I love that the buns are toasted and the burger patties are really thin. All-in-all, it is definitely a winner in my book!

What you need:
For the sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. French dressing
- 1 heaping Tbsp. relish
- 3 tsp. dill pickle juice
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. dried minced onion
- 1 tsp. ketchup
- Dash of salt
- 2 lb. ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 12 hamburger buns (you'll need 6 tops and 12 bottoms)
- Butter
- Shredded lettuce
- Dill pickles
- Minced onion (I like to reconstitute dried minced onion)
- American cheese slices
- For the sauce: mix all ingredients together and refrigerate.
- For the burgers: shape the ground beef into 12 thin patties. Season them with salt and pepper.
- Cook in a skillet, flipping once, until done. Topping with American cheese when almost finished.
- Meanwhile, butter each bun and toast in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat.
- To build burgers: spread sauce on the buttered side of each bun. On each bottom, top with onions, pickles, and lettuce. Then top each bottom bun with a burger. Stack a bottom with another bottom and then a top bun.
One of the last copycat burgers I shared was the Steak 'n Shake Frisco Patty Melts which also has a secret sauce! But I think what goes really well with a copycat Big Mac is copycat McDonalds Classic French Fries - recipe from Genius Kitchen.
