Steak with Garlic-Whiskey Butter

Steak with Garlic-Whiskey Butter | www.fantasticalsharing.com | #steak #JackDaniels

Because I had a little Jack Daniels leftover from Monday's Monster Onion Bacon Burgers...I decided to make this recipe from Laura, a fellow military spouse and member of Group D in the Secret Recipe Club. I'm hooked on herb-like butter on my steaks after trying a few different recipes. You really can't go wrong with it!

(Print)
What you need:
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 green onion, chopped (soaked in a little whiskey)
  • 3 tsp. parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp. garlic (fresh)
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 3 tsp. Whiskey
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 steaks
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • EVOO
Directions:
  1. Mix together butter, green onion, parsley, 1 tsp. garlic, Worcestershire, Dijon, whiskey, sea salt, and pepper. Form into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate. If it's closer to serving time than expected, I put mine in the freezer.
  2. Brush two steaks with oil. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic.
  3. Cook to desired doneness and serve right away with a slice of prepared butter.
