It's time for a week full of my favorite kinds of dishes: PASTA!! :)
I have been lucky enough to get a little heads up when my husband has extra duty supervision or staff duty. In September of last year, he was on brigade staff duty for a month and I got into the habit of bringing him dinner and the kids and I would eat with him. A huge thing for us is to sit down together and eat family dinners - it's something that we find extremely important and something that we don't always get to do with deployments and field exercises and what not. I love making quick pasta dishes to tote over to the airfield on those nights where is has to pull duty. Steak is also a great meat to use because it cooks quickly!
