Swedish Meatballs // This total comfort meal is perfect to place in the crockpot and slow cook until dinnertime! #crockpot #slowcooker #recipe #maindish #meatballs

This wonderful slow cooker Swedish Meatballs recipe can be simple or a little more complicated - it's all up to you. I personally think homemade meatballs are pretty quick to throw together and I had the time to do that before adding all the ingredients to the slow cooker, but you can also buy premade meatballs. This cuts down on the step of physically making and baking the meatballs. I make my Swedish meatballs and beef stroganoff without mushrooms, but that is something else that you can add in, if you want to.

What you need:
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. steak sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 bag (28 oz.) frozen homestyle meatballs --or-- homemade meatballs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Mashed potatoes or cooked rice, for serving
  1. In a slow cooker, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and beef broth.
  2. Add onion, garlic, steak sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Add meatballs and toss in slow cooker mixture until coated.
  4. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 to 6 hours or LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
  5. Add sour cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve on top of mashed potatoes or rice.

I have been on a crockpot beef recipe kick lately and my other new favorite is Slow Cooker Bolognese. If you're looking for something similar but also completely the opposite, these Sriracha Sesame Turkey Meatballs from Grumpy's Honeybunch will wake your tastebuds up!
