What you need:
- 2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup + 2 Tbsp. milk
- 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Make a well in the center.
In a bowl, mix beaten egg with milk, butter, and vanilla.
Add wet to dry ingredients and mix gently.
Fill a paper-cup lined muffin tin.
Bake at 375* for 15 minutes. Rotate and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes. Cool.
Mix together sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Dip cooled muffins in butter and then into cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Store in an airtight container!

I love lemons--I love cranberries. perfect combo--can,t wait to try them.
I've been making a version of these for years- without the nutmeg. Now I am intrigued to add that and see how it is. Sounds delicious- thanks for the idea!
