Apple Pie Oatmeal

If you have 5 minutes to spare, this fall breakfast will start your day off on the right foot!


I feel like I've posted a lot of oatmeal lately but I definitely don't get sick of it myself. Especially with all these really easygoing variations. I love love apple cinnamon oatmeal and that's basically what this is but it's not a prepackaged microwave packet. It's freshly made and it's fantastic. I'm not much for apple pie, but I love this apple pie oatmeal. It has the right amount of sweetness. I love using green apples for their crisp tartness. And you cannot get more fall than with cinnamon!

What you need:
  • 1/2 apple of any type, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3 tsp. brown sugar
Directions:
  1. Mix together all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for around 2 minutes or until oats are fully cooked (based on a 1200W microwave).
