Burgers with green chillies cooked into the beef patties and topped with a creamy taco sauce and avocado!
We've had a lot of burgers with taco toppings lately and have been eating a lot of queso burgers when we go out to eat too. Chili's and Applebee's have good queso burgers. This Taco Burger is fairly simple but has a lot of wonderful flavors that work together so well. The ground beef is mixed with green chillies, taco seasoning, and onions. There is taco sauce that goes on top and don't forget the avocado!!

What you need:
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 7 oz. can green chillies, drained
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. taco seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. finely diced yellow onion
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup taco sauce
- 2 Tbsp. salsa
- 6 slices pepper jack cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce or 6 lettuce leaves
- 2 roma tomatoes
- Avocado wedges, if desired
- Mix together ground beef, chillies, taco seasoning, and onions.
- Form into 6 patties with an indent in the middle to help with more even cooking.
- Mix together sour cream, taco sauce, and salsa and refrigerate until serving time.
- Grill burgers or cook in a skillet until done. Add cheese right before the burgers are ready so it can start to melt.
- Place burger on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato, and avocado.
- Drizzle with sauce and top with top bun.
I love burgers with a kick and this Jalapeno Cheeseburger with Bacon and Grilled Onions recipe from Bon Appetite looks fabulous. This Argentinean Burger has chimichurri sauce and that's honestly all I needed to know to try it.
