Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Philly Cheesesteak Sliders | 3 ingredients go in the crockpot to simmer all day for this fantastic slider you top with peppers, onion, and cheese to serve!

My husband loves Philly Cheesesteaks. I'm not really sure why, but I've never been as enthusiastic about them as he is. I have been trying to get a couple good recipes for him and this one definitely takes the cake. I was unsure if I would like the beer in the roast, but that was amazing. It had to be the best tasting roast I've ever eaten. The Hawaiian sweet rolls were the best type of roll to use on this too. I tried to make homemade ones, but they didn't turn out as well as I would've hoped.

What you need:
  • 1 beef roast
  • 2 pkg. Italian Dressing seasoning mix
  • 1 beer
  • 6 tbsp. butter
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 slices pepper jack cheese, broken up into small pieces
  • Hawaiian sweet rolls
Directions:

Place roast in crockpot. Pour seasoning mix packets over beef and then pour the beer all over.

Cook on low for 8 hours.
Shred and keep on low while you prepare the veggies and cheese sauce.

Melt 6 tbsp. butter in skillet. Add onions and cook for 15 to 20 minutes on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.

Add green bell and cook until tender.

For cheese sauce, create a rue with 2 tbsp. butter and flour. Let cook, while stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes.

Add milk and stir until thickened. Remove from heat.

Add cheeses and stir until they have melted.

To serve: top sliced roll with shredded meat, veggies, and then cheese sauce.
