Only four ingredients to make the best fall treat you'll ever eat!
I absolutely love Rice Krispies treats and grew up making them with my mom. I have only recently discovered how amazing browned butter is. It's indescribable and I was incredibly intrigued by using browned butter in Rice Krispies treats. This snack is so stinkin' easy to make because it's just four ingredients. I would say the hardest part is browning the butter, but it's not nearly as hard as I made it out to be when I first saw it. I was so nervous to burn it. I have yet to burn browned butter **knocks on wood**
There is no pumpkin in this snack, but there is pumpkin pie spice. So if you do like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc., but don't like pumpkin, you can still enjoy this treat.

What you need:
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1 bag (10.5 oz.) mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter. Continue to cook until butter starts to brown and has a nutty aroma. Watch carefully so it doesn't burn.
- Add marshmallows and pumpkin pie spice and stir until marshmallows melt.
- Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies.
- Spread mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking pan.
- Cool for 30 minutes and then cut into squares.
Another pumpkinless recipe that screams fall that I love is Pumpkin Pie Pretzels - so good! How about a combination of Rice Krispies and pretzels? These Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats from Food Coma look extraordinary.
