**A little heads up before I begin - I decided to stop doing Pinterest Weds and just have one day for recipe round up. All recipes I would've shared on Weds will go on Sunday's Sunday Social post. Also I am getting rid of my Sunday Social board and making categories to clean up my 80 billion (okay, 1400+) food pins.**
You cannot go wrong with homemade spice mixes. I know a lot of times I can't find pumpkin pie spice - whether it just not be stocked, it's sold out, or *gasp* it's not pumpkin season. Isn't it always pumpkin season?? So I have had this recipe saved up for so long. My old container of pumpkin pie spice was past it's use-by date. (Go through your spice rack and check the dates - they aren't "bad" but they won't have nearly as much flavor or "spice" if they are past their use-by date!) What a perfect opportunity to make my own with what I already had on hand!!

What you need:
- 2 tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg (I used about 1/2 tsp. ground)
- 2 big pinches of cardamom
- Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
- Makes about 4 tablespoons.
