Easy Blackberry Cheese Danish

This recipe is easily one of the very best danishes I've had to date. I am a lover of berries - especially blackberries. Since I don't eat them enough or breakfast enough, this is a great compromise and it is quick breakfast to whip up in a flash.
Easy Blackberry Cheese Danish. This breakfast is simple, fast, and over-the-top amazing. #blackberry #danish

(Print)
What you need:
  • 1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries (I used frozen)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1/8 tsp. vanilla
Directions:

Combine cream cheese, sugar, flour, and 1 tsp. vanilla.

Roll out crescent dough onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Press the seams together.
Spread cream cheese filling down the middle of the dough leaving room on each side to cut strips.

Top cream cheese with blackberries.

Slice strips on each side and alternate wrapping them around the filling.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 375*. Cool.
In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla for icing.
Drizzle over top of cooled danish. Slice and serve.
