DIY Spreadable Butter

As I've said before, I'm slowly transitioning into less and less processed, preservative-ridden foods. I know that the spreadable butter I get at the store has a bunch of junk in it. So I was all over this recipe. I stuck it in an old butter container and it is perfect!

What you need:
  • 1 stick butter (I used unsalted, so I added a little salt)
  • 1/2 cup canola or olive oil
Directions:
  1. In a blender, food processor, or stand mixer, combine ingredients until smooth.
  2. Store in a container in refrigerator!
  3. Note: Adding honey and cinnamon would make for a great honey cinnamon spreadable butter!

Thanks for the great idea! I just ran out of spreadable butter yesterday and made myself a double batch. Works and tastes just like the store bought stuff! This is how I'll be doing it from now on :)
