Fried Mozzarella

We like to have pizza on Friday nights...pretty much every Friday. Sometimes we'll do football game type food instead or with it and fried mozzarella is one of our favorites. I've tried a few different recipes, but this one is definitely my favorite. They turned out so perfectly!

The original poster also shared a marinara sauce that I attempted, but it was a bit too tomatoey for my liking. So we're just going to stick to the Classico spaghetti sauce for dipping!
Fried Mozzarella - Panko-coated mozzarella fried to crunchy perfection #appetizer #recipe

What you need:
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan
  • 2 lb. mozzarella
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 cups Panko
  • 2 cups flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
Mix together Panko, salt, and Parmesan in a bowl.

Whisk together eggs and milk in a separate bowl.

Place flour in a third bowl.
Drain and dry mozzarella.

Roll mozzarella in flour, then egg mixture, then Panko mixture.

Then repeat through the flour, egg, and Panko a second time.

Heat oil to 350* in a pot and fry cheese in batches for 45 seconds each batch.
Serve with marinara.
