Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

My family is very new to brussels sprouts...or brussel sprouts - which is it?! I'm not sure. Either way, I found out they are way better fresh than frozen and they are amazing lightly sauteed OR in this case, with bacon. Honestly, if you like fresh spinach and broccoli, you'll like brussels!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon - #bacon makes it all better!

(Print)
What you need:
  • 4 cups brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 cup bacon, diced and cooked
  • EVOO
Directions:
  1. Trim off bases of sprouts and toss with EVOO. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  2. Roast at 450* for 20 minutes. Toss halfway through cooking.
  3. Toss bacon in and roast for 5 to 7 more minutes.

Yum, I love Brussels sprouts! I actually always enjoyed them as a kid, but then sort of forgot they existed until recently. I finally just rediscovered them and have been eating a ton lately! They sound amazing with bacon!

For those who have shied away from brussels sprouts, you should try them roasted. MUCH different flavor. S LOVES them roasted and will only eat them that way.
