Countdown to 2016: Best Dessert

Join us as we say goodbye to 2015 and countdown to 2016 with our best recipes from this year! There's never a bad time for dessert...
The Countdown to 2016 begins December 26 - if you have a food blog, feel free to join in! #Countdownto2016 #best

When I go to meal plan each week, I find myself having to sift through an enormous amount of dessert recipes. I have the biggest sweet tooth and I can't stop myself from saving every dessert recipe ever made ever. I'm exaggerating, but it really doesn't seem that way when I'm having to find a rare main dish recipe LOL. And I know I'm about to find more dessert recipes from my fellow food bloggers in their round ups.

Countdown to 2016 - The best dessert recipes of 2015 | If you have a sweet tooth, I have a dessert recipe for you :) #dessert #Countdownto2016 #recipe

Perfect Every Time Cut Out Cookies - I got this recipe from Bridget of Bake at 350 and it is literally perfection. We used it for decorating at Christmas time last year and I made another batch this year. They are perfect all year round for any holiday though!
Turtle Thumbprint Cookies - These are a little time consuming, but worth it in the end. They are so cute and so decadent :)
Dark Chocolate Mint Cake Mix Cookies - I found mint chocolate morsels last year and immediately came up with a fudgy cake mix cookie recipe. It was everything I had ever thought it would be and more. Probably top 5 favorite cookies of all time.
Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting - I made these for my birthday in 2014. They were amazing. It was actually a cake recipe, but I really wanted to do cupcakes so I could freeze some unfrosted ones. They froze well too, so that helped!
Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Root Beer Buttercream Frosting - This was kind of a last minute for S&Gs one day concoction. I had dark chocolate cupcakes in the freezer and I had stuff to make buttercream frosting and decided to throw some root beer concentrate into it. Magical combination.
M&M Chocolate Chunk Cookies - Another really good cookie recipe...this one from Sally of Sally's Baking Addiction. They were so soft...the chocolate chunks melted and were so gooey and there are also M&Ms. It doesn't get much better than that.
5-Minute Strawberry Froyo - I tried froyo in 2014 for the first time and then ventured into making some easy recipes. This one is fantastic and full of flavor.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt - Another froyo - a little more on the devilish side of things. Safe-to-eat cookie dough in a dessert is one of my favorite things.
Coffee Nutella Swirl Ice Cream - This no-machine ice cream is super rich, but it's definitely super delicious too. So hard not to eat it until your stomach hurts.
Frozen Inspired Cake Mix Cookies - I had a failed SRC recipe and tried it again with some modifications. It turned out way better the second go-around and Cami loved them! Frozen is still our favorite - even if Matt and Nick hate it now LOL
Brown Butter Salted Caramel Mocha Cookies - These were the cookies I chose for my 2015 Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap. They were incredible. Brown butter - check. Caramel - check. Chocolate - check. Coffee - check. Sea Salt - check. DROOL.

In case you missed it...
