Steak Fingers

I actually really like cube steak. It's like the po' man version of steak. I made these in an attempt to get my husband over the tragedy of going without my cooking for 2 weeks :) He brought leftovers to work for lunch twice!

What you need:
  • 2 lb. cube steak, sliced into 1-inch strips
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Canola oil
  • 2 tbsp. butter
*Ree did hers with gravy as well. You can find out how to do that here.

Directions:

Combine flour, seasoned salt, pepper, and cayenne in a shallow dish or plate.
Combine eggs and milk.

Heat an inch or so of canola oil with butter at medium to medium-high heat.

Dredge steak through flour, then egg mixture, then flour again.

Fry until golden brown on each side; drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
